The following persons trained at WVCP-VSCC and now work full time in the Communications Industry:

1.  Scott Bailey---is the owner and operator of WMRO Radio, Magic 1560 in Gallatin, Tennessee.  His company is Classic Broadcasting.  The station features local events, high school sports and an adult contemporary music format. Before buying WMRO in 1993, Scott Bailey was an air personality know as "Scott The Rock" at Nashville's AM 1470, WVOL (The Mighty 147), and WQQK-FM, known as 92Q.

2.  Chris Kulick---is a sales manager for Citadel Broadcasting Nashville--103.3 WKDF-FM and 104.5 WGFX-FM.  Chris gives back to VSCC by speaking annually to our broadcast sales class.

3.  Jeff Eslick---is national sales manager for Citadel Broadcasting, Nashville.  He sells for WKDF and WGFX.  Jeff has a number of awards, including best rookie sales person for his stations.  He gives back to VSCC by speaking annually to our broadcast sales class.

4.  Billy Goodman---works for Lebanon radio stations, WANT and WCOR.

5.  Troy Ameen---is working the 7 p.m. to Midnight shift at 106.9 FM KIKS in Cookeville.

6.  Joe Woollett---Vol State graduate and University of Memphis graduate is working full-time for WPTY-TV, an ABC affiliate, and WLMT-TV, a UPN affiliate both in Memphis.  

He also volunteers at WYPL-FM, reading the Memphis newspaper on-air as a service to the visually impaired. 

7.  Joe Legge---is a television anchor at noon and the fill-in anchor for mornings at CBS (Media General) Channel 12 in Chattanooga. He was a long-time volunteer with WVCP starting at age 14.

8.  Angie Smith---is a board operator/producer for George Plaster on WGFX FM, 104.5 The Zone in Nashville.

9.  Kevin "Crash" Davis---is the program director at WNDD/WNDT/WNDN-FM in Gainesville-Ocala, Florida.  Kevin is also doing work as a voice-over announcer.

10.  Earlene Mandrell---is appearing on Tennessee Outdoors segments and Public Service Announcements on WNPT Channel 8. She is also seen on several television commercials in Nashville.

11.  Jamie Dudney---is appearing on the soap opera As the World Turns.

12.  Heather Garrett---a Vol State graduate and MTSU graduate, now works at Hammstein Publishing in Nashville's Music Row area.  She worked five years at WANT and WCOR as an air Personality/ Producer.

13.  Bill Killough---works at the radio station at Vincennes University.  He trains students for their on-air responsibilities and helps them with their production assignments.
14.  Michael Vance (Horbovitz) ---is doing on-air traffic for stations, including WWTN 99.7 FM in Nashville. Doogie is the local host for the "Bob & Tom Show" on 97.1 WRQQ-FM in Nashville.
15.  Jason McMurrian---is switching for cable channel 50- News Channel 5 Plus and is a camera operator for Channel 5's 5:00, 6:00, and 10:00 P.M. newscasts.  This job developed out of an internship with Channel 5.
16.  Tim Blain---is a media specialist for CBS in their Internet department.  He does work for CMT, TNN, and MTV.
17.  Vijoya Mountjoy---is a producer at an Indiana television station.
18.  Cliff McArdle---is the promotions director for WKDF, WGFX and the Titans Radio Network, Nashville, TN.
19.  Cameron Collins---is editor at the Dickson, Tennessee newspaper.
20.  Holly Nimmo---is a graduate of VSCC and MTSU. She works as the Public Relations Office Supervisor at Volunteer State College. From 1998-2008, she held the Operations Supervisor position for 88.5 WVCP-FM.
21.  Robin Joffe--- is traffic manager for The Tennessee and Alabama State News Networks.
22.  Chris Goodman---is a sportscaster for the ABC-TV affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
23.  Teresa Gammon---is employed with The National Association of Broadcasters in Washington, D.C.
24.  Eric Glasgow---is now working at WBIR-TV and worked at HGTV Home & Garden Cable Network in Knoxville, Tennessee.
25.  Jim Keutzer---works at The Tennessean.
26.  Stephanie Farris Tallman---who graduated from VSCC and MTSU is now working for The Tennessee Arts Commission.  She writes media press releases.
27.  Mark Dyer---does the Bluegrass Show at WCOR in Lebanon, TN.

28.  Scott Stewart---is operations manager at Sports Talk Station WKNI in Lexington, Alabama.

29.  Stacey Moore Odom---is working at a commercial radio station in Georgia.
30.  Joe Kirby---works at a commercial station in Des Moines, Iowa, doing morning drive.
31.  Mike Marshall (McClarnon)---works for WHIN-AM radio in Gallatin, TN.
32.  Shawna Sessions---works for WSGZ 94.5 FM in Dickson, TN. 
33.  Zack Bennett---is the assistant program director at Cumulus' NewsTalk 770 WVNN and SportsRadio 730 The Ump in Huntsville, Alabama. Also on weekends at 97.1 WNRQQ-FM in Nashville, TN.
34.  Adam Meador--works for BMI in Nashville, TN in the royalties department.
35.  Brian Campbell--is a jet airline pilot for Mesaba, a division of Northwest Airlines.  He is based in Memphis, TN.
36.  Jamie Berry--is a weekend news producer for WTVF News Channel 5 in Nashville, TN.
37.  Katie Haas, formerly with WSM 95 FM in Nashville, now does nationally-broadcast country music shows on television.  
38.  Miriam Mohammed, who had been doing middays on 102.5 The Party in Nashville, is working at Rock 104 and Hot 101 in Youngstown, Ohio.
39.  Jay Carlton has finished his B.S. in Journalism at MTSU and is now an account executive with Ivanhoe Financial.
40.  Keli Harrison (Dosemagen) is the corporate traffic operations support supervisor at the Sinclair Broadcast Group Corporation offices in Baltimore, MD.  She worked at WZTV Fox 17 in Nashville, starting in 1998, and later became the traffic manager for WZTV, WUPN, and WNAB.
41.  Kacey Bundy is working for Comcast in Nashville, TN.
42.  Swain Rieves is an account executive at Cromwell Broadcasting in Nashville.  He works for 102.9 The Buzz and 102.5 The Party.
43.  Rachel Webb has been promoted at Citadel Broadcasting in Nashville.  She is now a sales assistant for 103 WKDF and 104.5 The Zone.
44.  Kyle Hamlett is working at Broadcast Music, Inc. in Nashville.
45.  Jimmy Tidwell, '90 graduate VSCC and '93 graduate of MTSU, is program director at a classic rock station, 106.1 WRDU in Raleigh, North Carolina.
46.  Courtney Williard is an afternoon drive air personality and board operator on Z-97.5 WZZP-FM.  She is also on the Beaver 100.3 7-11 p.m. weeknights.  Both stations are in Clarksville.
47.  Michele (Gauvin) Mize is a Legal Assistant to Deputy Chief Disciplinary Counsel - Litigation, Sandy Garrett, for the Board of Professional Responsibility for the Supreme Court of Tennessee.  She received her B.S. in Broadcasting from Belmont University and is currently attending Vol State in the Paralegal Program.  Michele's experience includes work at WVCP, WSGI, WBVR, as well as TV experience with Ralph Emery Productions, Dick Clark Productions and the Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards.
48.  Diane Crutcher Hughes has been working at The Tennessean since 1993 and currently serves as Copy Editor for the Custom Publications Team.
49.  Suzanne Rae is a part-time board operator for WHIN-AM 1010 in Gallatin.
50.  Kim Evans is working full-time as a sales manager for WLCT 102.1 FM in Lafayette, TN.  She is writing and producing commercials and selling ads.
51.  Richard Douglas is working full-time as a master control operator for Fox 61 TV WDSI in Chattanooga.  While attending VSCC, he obtained experience in a similar position at WPGD-TV in Hendersonville, TN.  He has a B.S. degree in Communications from Western Kentucky University.
52.  Danielle Hopkins is working as the promotion coordinator for FOX 17, UPN 30 and WB 58 in Nashville.
53.  Hugh Britt is an account executive for Citadel Broadcasting, Nashville.
54.  Paul Bible is the executive producer for "The Wake Up Zone" on 104.5 FM in Nashville.  The show features Kevin Ingram, Mark Howard, and Frank Wycheck and can be heard weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. 
55.  Jon Blankenship is working at WSMV-TV Channel 4 in Nashville.
56.  Chris Ladd is working full-time with Cumulus Broadcasting WWTN 99.7 in Nashville.  He is the producer of the Phil Valentine Talk Show, which is syndicated by Westwood One and is heard in markets all across the country. 
57.  Tommy Stewart is producing Nashville's Morning News with Ralph Bristol and The Michael DelGiorno Show on WWTN 99.7 FM.
58.  Kevin Blazek is an editor at WKRN-TV, Channel 2 in Nashville. 
59.  Brad Reed is a traffic reporter for On Time Traffic and is on 12 stations.  He is starting an NFL sports show on WNSR radio in Nashville.

60.  Kris Freeman is a Baptist pastor in So. Kentucky.  He is a member of the Stinson Press publishing board and interns in an advisory role to General Baptist Congregational Ministries in Poplar Bluff, MO. He has a denominational degree in pastoral ministry and is working on a B.A. degree in Corporate/Organizational Communication.  He has been a volunteer assistant for White House High School football for 12 years. 

61.  Jennifer (Ryan) Freeman is a Human Resources representative at Logan Aluminum Inc., one of Kentucky's largest manufacturing industries. She is married to Rev. Kris Freeman, whom she met while serving as the assistant station manager for WVCP in 1995-96. They married in 1998 and have two children.
62.  Jake (Jennings?), former VSCC Communication student and WVCP announcer, is doing TV commercials for Rivergate Toyota.
63.  Kevin Guest is working as a producer and board operator at 99.7 WWTN in Nashville and Salem Music Network. He is also an On-Air Personality for Solid Gospel Radio Network.
64.  James Denham is a video editor for a production company based in Goodlettsville.  He also runs the sound equipment at Gallatin's First United Methodist Church.
65.  Rick Walker is a music producer in Nashville.  His company, Suppa Fella Entertainment, does consulting, management and production for music artists.
66.  Megan Franks has been offered a position with Brides Magazine as a result of her internship with WSMV Channel 4.
67.  Tony Boco is shooting video for HBO projects.
68.  Kristy Netherton is a board operator for Nashville station WUBT 101.1 FM.  This position resulted from a VSCC internship.
69.  Robert Wilson is a board operator/producer at Nashville station 99.7 WWTN-FM.
70.  Tim Battle is a Remote Tech and Street Team Leader for Nashville station WRVW 107.5 FM. This position resulted from a VSCC internship.
71.  Justin Fernandes is the Operations Assistant for WVCP-FM 88.5 Gallatin, TN.  He trains students, does traffic, production, and maintains the stations' computers and audio servers. He also works at Cumulus Media as a board operator/producer for 99.7 WWTN-FM.
72.  Kris Davis is a Remote Tech for the Nashville Cumulus Radio Stations.  This position resulted from a VSCC internship.
73.  Paul Hunter is an Air Personality for 107.5 The River WRVW-FM, Nashville, TN
74.  Geoff Breedwell is a Master Control Operator at WHTN, UHF Channel 39 in Mt. Juliet, TN
75.  Nate Slate is a Board Operator/Announcer for 1010 WHIN-AM in Gallatin, TN 
76.  Josh Mathes is a Board Operator for 1510 WLAC-AM in Nashville, TN
77.  Eric Nettles is a Board Operator for sports events at 1220 WFKN-AM Radio in Franklin, KY.  His boss there is VSCC graduate Ralph Warren, who directed plays with Dan Jewell.
78.  Jonathan Thompson is working in the sports department at WANT-FM in Lebanon on "The Finish Line," a sports-talk show which airs Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and he runs the board for the "Scoreboard Show." 
79.  Emerson Edwards is interning at WANT-FM in Lebanon on "The Finish Line," a sports-talk show which airs Mondays and Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. 
80.  Jon Boyce is working at WANT-FM in Lebanon as the voice of "Sports Scene," as guest host and production team member for "The Finish Line," as a fill-in host for the "Afternoon Drive Show," as host of the "Bluegrass Show" on Sunday, and as voice over talent.
